Test to protect.
COVID-19 testing helps protect you, your family, your friends, and your community. It’s also more available than ever before.
Testing plays an important role in slowing and stopping the spread of COVID-19.
You should get tested if you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
Most health insurance plans cover testing services for COVID-19. The state insurance commissioner ordered all health plans his office regulates to waive copays, coinsurance and deductibles for people requiring testing for COVID-19.
Find free testing sources and locations listed below.
If you test positive on an at-home test, call the state COVID-19 hotline at (800) 525-0127.
If you get sick, you might not need to go to the hospital. But you need to know your symptoms and pay attention to your body. Many COVID-19 cases are mild enough you can recover at home.
Make an appointment with your healthcare provider, visit a free testing site, or pick-up a test kit for home at a convenient location available on this page.
Test to Treat program
We help connect high-risk COVID-19 patients with a life-saving drug called Paxlovid. Here’s what you need to know.
- If you test positive for COVID-19 and are high risk for hospitalization or death, you’re eligible.
- Timing is important. You should start medication within 5 days of your first symptoms.
- A few sites like pharmacies, doctors’ offices and testing sites provide all the services in one place. You’ll get a test, consultation and treatment.
- In most cases, you’ll take a COVID-19 test at home or at a free testing site.
- If you test positive and have a primary care provider, consult with them and they’ll give you a prescription.
- If you don’t have a provider, or if you can’t get in right away, you can consult with a virtual test-to-treat provider. Call (360) 688-7044. If you’re eligible, you’ll get a free prescription to fill at your local pharmacy.
The program is free. Our most vulnerable residents should have fast, direct access to the treatments that reduce hospitalization and death!
